Leidya is a career services and employer engagement professional with more than 15 years of experience designing and leading initiatives that connect students and graduates with meaningful career opportunities. She is currently the Employer Engagement Director at The American University in Cairo, where she develops employer partnerships, leads recruitment and experiential learning services, and oversees programs including internships, work-study opportunities, job shadowing, co-op placements, and other employer-led student engagements.

Throughout her career at AUC, Leidya has built and managed strong relationships with organizations across diverse industries, helping employers strengthen their campus presence while creating valuable pathways for students to gain practical experience and develop career readiness competencies. As Experiential Learning Director, she expanded the university’s internship portfolio to more than 1,200 opportunities annually, launched new programs such as externships and student upskilling initiatives, and introduced corporate challenges and competitions.

In addition to her institutional leadership, Leidya is a Certified Career Services Provider and a Facilitating Career Development Master Trainer with the National Career Development Association. She has trained and coached career practitioners across Egypt and the region in career development, employability, employer engagement, and effective delivery of career services.
