Nermine Fawzy is an accomplished leader with over 25 years of experience across different industries.
With a strong focus on human capital and business strategy and a passion for technology, Nermine has worked across and managed large projects globally, regionally and locally, always focused on results as a success driver. Whether in establishing strategy, human capital functions, or organizational development, her experience in M&As, re-structuring, and building for the future has consistently been focused on business value and sustainability.
Nermine is currently Chief People Officer at MAGRABi Retail, the Middle East’s leading eyewear retailer with over 300 stores, 2000 employees, across 7 countries. Before joining MAGRABi, she was a Co-Founder and Senior Partner at FosterEdge, a Dubai-based business advisory and support firm that she co-founded in 2019. Prior to that, Nermine was Chief Talent Officer at ITWORX for 4 years, where she led Talent, Communications and Operations across the global business (North America, Europe, Middle East), supporting an organizational restructuring and business transformation that restored the company’s agility and financial strength. Nermine was also the Regional HR Director – Middle East & Africa at Cargill for 9 years where she was involved in a variety of M&As, and large transformation projects; People & Culture Manager at Kantar (previously TNS) where she initiated the HR function for Egypt and North Africa; among other positions.
In addition to her corporate experience, Nermine has worked with a variety of entrepreneurs for over 10 years at various stages through mentorship engagements and is a member on advisory boards at Endeavor, MIT Venture Mentoring Services, Plug ‘N Play and similar organizations. She was recognized as a Top 10 Mentor by Endeavor Egypt in 2015 and 2017. She is also a member and Co-Chair of the Core HR Committee at the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt for over 15 years, in addition to being a founding member and board member at the Human Power Association.
Nermine holds a BA in Journalism & Mass Communication from the American University in Cairo, and post-graduate certifications from the University of Northampton. She is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach from CTI, and Certified Organizational Architect. She has lived on four continents.
