Sherry Bishara is a C-suite people, organizational transformation, and corporate sustainability executive with more than 30 years of leadership experience across financial services, cement and heavy industry, construction, and management consulting. She currently serves as Group Chief People & Corporate Sustainability Officer at Beltone Holding and is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Magnet (Beltone Management Solutions) and Beltone Academy.
Since joining Beltone Holding in November 2022, Sherry has been responsible for leading the Group-wide Human Resources and Corporate Sustainability (ESG) agenda across Beltone Holding’s international operations. Her mandate spans all subsidiaries and businesses across Africa, Europe, Asia, and all other markets where the Group operates. She works closely with the Board of Directors, Group CEO, and executive leadership to align business strategy with organizational design, executive leadership, talent, governance, sustainability, and long-term value creation across multiple jurisdictions.
In 2023, Sherry founded Beltone Academy, the group’s learning and development arm, where she shapes strategy, partnerships, curriculum, and executive capability programs. In 2024, she launched Magnet, Beltone’s management-solutions subsidiary, providing HR consulting, recruitment, outsourcing, organizational development, and people-services solutions to corporate clients.
Before joining Beltone, Sherry served as Group HR Director, Board Member, and Executive Committee Member at HeidelbergCement Group in Egypt from 2015 to 2022. She led the people-side acquisition and integration of Italcementi operations in Egypt and Africa and supported a major business turnaround through comprehensive organizational restructuring, workforce optimization, and redesign of the operating model. She also established the Heidelberg Training Center in Egypt and led regional talent, grading, manpower-planning, and capability initiatives.
Earlier in her career, Sherry spent nearly two decades with Orascom Construction Industries, progressing to Director of Human Resources and additionally serving as Financial & Administrative Director during a period of significant regional growth. She began her career in investment-funds management at the National Bank of Egypt and later managed personnel operations at the National Investment Company.
Sherry combines executive leadership with extensive board, committee, and civil-development experience. She serves as Board Treasurer and Board of Trustees Member of Raie Misr Foundation for Development, Executive Board Member of Cash for Microfinance, and Founding Member and Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees of Ana Insan Foundation. She is also a Registered Consultant and Women’s Issues Expert at the Afro-Asian Union for International Law and Dispute Settlement and previously served on the Financial Regulatory Authority’s Board Quality Committee Women-Empowerment Initiative. She also serves as Chair of the ESG Committee of the Baobab Group Board and as a Member of the Board Nominations & HR Committee. Baobab, a Beltone Holding subsidiary headquartered in Paris, operates across seven African countries, where she provides Board-level oversight on ESG, governance, human capital, executive succession, and sustainability.
Her recognitions include Best HR Executive in Egypt & the Middle East by Oracle EMEA in 2025, Best Emerging Women Leader & Human Capital Management in Egypt by The Global Economics in 2025, and inclusion among the Top 30 Most Influential Women in Africa’s Cement Industry by AfriCem. Under her leadership, Beltone Holding also received ILO and Federation of Egyptian Industries recognition for the Train to Sustain disability-inclusion initiative.
Sherry holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Foreign Trade from Helwan University, a Credit & Risk Diploma from the American University in Cairo, and a Professional Diploma in Leadership of Arab and African Women from Cairo University. She is a certified consultant in sustainability and governance and a certified Training of Trainers practitioner. She is currently completing her MBA at ESLSCA University.
